Question 18

Can my sample get rejected?

Accepted Answer

While sample rejections are uncommon, there are a few potential reasons why your sample may not be accepted for testing:

1. Lipemic Samples:

Lipemic samples have a cloudy or milky appearance due to high levels of fats and lipids.

This can occur due to:

Improper Fasting: Not fasting for the recommended 10-12 hours before the fasting sugar test.

Alcohol Consumption: Consuming alcohol within 48 hours of the test.

Non-Vegetarian Dinner: Eating non-vegetarian food the night before the test.

Insufficient Sleep: Lack of adequate sleep can also contribute to lipemic samples.

2. Hemolysis:

Hemolysis is a condition where red blood cells break down, releasing hemoglobin into the blood plasma. Samples with hemolysis are rejected to prevent inaccurate results.

This can happen due to:

Autoimmune Disorders: Certain autoimmune conditions can cause hemolysis.

Thin Veins: Drawing the sample from thin veins can sometimes lead to hemolysis.

3. Insufficient Quantity:

The blood sample collected may not be enough to perform all the requested tests.

4. Invalid Results:

The test results may be outside the normal reference range, indicating a potential issue that requires further investigation.

If your sample was rejected, we recommend rescheduling the test and following the necessary guidelines to ensure a successful collection. Our customer support team is always available to assist you with any query or concerns.

Question 19

In which lab will my sample be tested?

Accepted Answer

Your sample will be sent to the laboratory that is closest to your sample pickup location. We have a vast network of labs spread across various regions in India, ensuring efficient and timely testing.

Question 20

How do you ensure that a correct sample reaches the lab?

Accepted Answer

We employ a robust system to guarantee the accurate delivery of your samples to the lab. Upon reaching the lab each sample is affixed with unique bar-code and our process identifies and tracks each barcode, ensuring there's no possibility of sample mix-ups. With these measures in place, you can have complete confidence that your sample will be processed correctly and efficiently.

Question 21
